Downtown Iowa City Engagement | Wern + Heidi

I kicked off 2017 season on New Year's Day with these two! I drove from Minneapolis to Iowa City that morning + spent the afternoon exploring the always charming Iowa City. (If you've never been there, definitely check it out sometime! Here's a bit from our anniversary weekend spent there.) As you can tell from the photos, there were a lot of laughs + unexpected warmth from winter - 40ish degrees, heavenly!

Wern + Heidi met in a class in med school, where Heidi's initial thought of Wern was that he was a "bro" because of the people he was talking to. After a time of mainly ignoring each other, things eventually opened up with the conversation + here they are, planning their May wedding + the rest of their lives together!

One thing's for sure: it'll be one heck of an educated and healthy household with both of them as doctors. ;) 

Their wedding will be my first one of the season + I couldn't be more excited to kick it all off with these two!
