Lake Harriet Minneapolis Engagement Photographer | PJ and Allie

Fun fact: (if you didn't already know) we just moved from Minneapolis earlier in 2016. I'd been back a few times, but it felt so great being back in the summer. There's not much like Minneapolis in the summer! I spent a lot of time at Lake Harriet last summer and it totally brought me back to those days. :) 

Lake Harriet is one of PJ and Allie's favorites, and a place they spent a lot of time at when they were dating. We walked around and they did an incredible job smiling + posing in front of hundreds of people walking around. ;) They love cats and an outdoor cat even greeted us at one point. It's like the cat knew cat lovers were walking past (lol). 

Here's a bit on their story: 

who they are:

"PJ grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota and Allie grew up in Sioux Falls, SD. We both attended South Dakota State University. Both work in Lakeville, MN. PJ works as a software developer and Allie is a Elementary school teacher. We both live in an apartment in St Louis Park with our two cats Ernie and Sulley. We are both crazy cat people."

How they met:

"At a party our freshman year of college at South Dakota State University."

The proposal:

"At our apartment, after dinner, PJ put on his suit and bowties on our 2 cats (Ernie and Sulley) and asked me to marry him."

ideal saturday:

"Start off the day exploring a new part of the Twin Cities. Trying a new place to eat. Grab some ice cream (preferably Sebastian Joe's). End the night at home playing a board game, binge watching Netflix, and being with each other and our cat children. :)"
