New Years Minneapolis Marriott NW Wedding | Rob and Ashlee | Ali Leigh Weddings

From our initial wedding consultation with Rob and Ashlee, Taylor and I knew we were in for a treat. They’re the kind of couple that everyone enjoys being around - they’re kind, hilarious, & laid back, and your cheeks will hurt from smiling and laughing so much. We met again at their Lake Harriet summer engagement session (click here to see it), where we got ice cream and walked by the sailboats, and laughed. Ashlee dances when she doesn’t know how to pose, which made for some hilarious outtakes (lol!). 

They win the crown of being my FIRST wedding of 2016 and last of busy season, ringing in the New Year with their January 2nd wedding. What a great wedding to start out on!! Their day was SO full of their personalities and backed up by their friends' and family’s personalities. Their bridal party was full of successful dentists, accountants, etc. Hilarity was a huge theme, and I think I laughed more at this wedding  than any wedding I've ever been to - from Ashlee dancing after they were pronounced husband and wife, to Rob & Ashlee starting the dance off with a cowboy hat, singing Senior Bob happy birthday, and Ashlee’s mom catching the bouquet. I’m sure you’ll see the humor of their day throughout these photos!

The two met when they interned together. Ashlee thought of Rob as the “annoying undergrad”, because all undergrads are annoying when you’re in grad school ;), and Rob thought of Ashlee as the “hot other intern”. They became good friends, and Rob started to adore Ashlee (more than just the "hot intern" ;). Ashlee took some time, but here they ended up getting married!! You two will for sure have a blast being married.
