How to edit photos without having the RAWs with you!
I didn’t know this trick for the first couple years of my business and it’s been SO great to know!
A lot of people wonder if there’s a way to edit the photos by not having the RAWs with you, in case you don’t have your external hard drive with you or you’d rather not bring it while you travel/work at a coffeeshop.
The key?! Building Smart Previews!
This is also a way I get sneak peeks from my associates fast without having to get the RAWs from them right away. I’m walking you through exactly how to build smart previews and get you on your way to freedom from having to bring your RAWs with you everywhere. :)
Another tip: store your LR catalogs (I create a new one for each session + wedding) on Google Drive or Dropbox. That way you can open catalogs from any computer without having to have the RAWs.
